Jasmine White Rice
About the Product
Jasmine rice is a long-grain variety of fragrant rice. Its fragrance, reminiscent of pandan and popcorn, results from the rice plant's natural production of aroma compounds, of which 2-acetyl-1-pyrroline is the most salient.
To cook rinse in cold water. Use 1 cup rice: 2 cups water. Bring to boil and simmer for 15-20 mins covered, serve. Basmati Rice is improved by rinsing in cold water and soaking for 1 hour prior to cooking as above.
